Crew Lead – Full-Time

Overview:

This leadership role is responsible for managing and directing landscaping and lawn care activities on-site, ensuring quality work, safety, and efficiency. You’ll run jobs, guide the crew, and uphold Southern State’s reputation for excellent results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee daily landscaping and lawn care operations
  • Operate machinery and tools (mowers, blowers, skid steers, etc.)
  • Understand site plans and ensure the job is executed the client’s expectations
  • Assign tasks to team members and keep jobsites organized
  • Perform hands-on work alongside the crew as needed
  • Maintain high safety standards and quality control

What You’ll Need:

  • 2+ years of landscaping or outdoor work experience
  • Leadership or crew management experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions
  • Comfort working weekdays, odd hours, and the occasional weekend, overtime is available.
  • Familiarity with OSHA guidelines is a plus
  • A valid driver’s license

Crew Team Member – Full-Time

Overview:

As a Crew Team Member, you’ll work alongside others to complete high-quality lawn care and landscaping jobs. You don’t need to know everything on day one — just come ready to work hard, learn, and be part of a solid crew.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mow, trim, weed, edge, and maintain lawns and landscapes

  • Mulch beds, rake debris, prune trees and shrubs

  • Use tools and equipment safely and efficiently

  • Support your crew and take pride in the finished product

What You’ll Need:

  • Some hands-on experience in landscaping, lawn care, or outdoor labor

  • A strong work ethic and willingness to learn

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all conditions

  • Dependability, punctuality, and a good attitude

  • Comfort working weekdays, odd hours, and the occasional weekend, overtime is available.

  • A valid driver’s license
