General Landscaper
Willow Springs, North Carolina
Southern State Landscape is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled General Landscaper for a full-time position.
This role is pivotal in managing and directing all landscaping activities on the property. This includes maintaining lawns and gardens, and ensuring the upkeep of all landscaping elements.
The position requires availability for weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance of gardens and lawns through activities like mowing, trimming, pruning, raking, and weeding.
- Perform weeding and mulching in landscape beds.
- Carry out trimming of trees, hedges, and shrubs.
- Apply fertilizers, uphold the integrity of landscape design, remove unwanted plant material, and supervise necessary repairs.
Qualifications and Abilities:
- At least two years of experience in landscaping or groundskeeping.
- Proficiency in operating various maintenance tools such as tractors, mowers, leaf blowers, and aerators.
- Capable of lifting weight up to 50 pounds and handling physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, pulling, and climbing.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Competent in working both independently and as part of a team.
- In-depth understanding of pest control and fundamental lawn care principles.
- Comfortable working outdoors in diverse conditions for extended periods.
- Commitment to adhering to safety standards.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety guidelines.
